We call it stylish simplicity, but what we mean is, contemporary furnishings and clever interior design that leaves you in no doubt that this is a luxury escape. With authentic African canvas overhead and the open night sky drawing you outside, there is very much a sense of freedom and a connection with the simple rhythms of life.

Of course, no safari experience would be complete without its wildlife. Which, in this part of the country means sheep, cows, horses, the odd Kestrel and even a Kingfisher. And as you lie on the deck under the stars, perhaps in the hot tub or the hammock, sipping a chilled glass of wine you will realise that, at last, you have escaped to a truly unspoilt part of the country.

Everything is under canvas - your bedroom, TV and en suite bathroom with hot and cold running water and flushing loo with biomass boiler fuelled by the wood burner. There is a complimentary bottle in the wine fridge, of course and with a choice of gourmet meals delivered to your tent in Tiffin tins by our chef, things could not be more effortless.

If you do not opt for the chef's bounty there is a barbecue (with sink) for those wishing to embrace the full outdoor experience. Or if you prefer something more indulgent, choose from a wealth of great local eateries.
