Before you even enter this cottage, you will be captivated by the elegant charm of its stone and timber facade. Take a walk down the garden to find the stone grotto close to the meandering mill stream, it is the perfect secret haven.

When you are ready to go inside, you will find oak floors, a modern kitchen and luxuries throughout. It is relaxation all the way at this home escape - whether you stretch out on the roof terrace, melt away in the sauna, hunker down in front of the log burner or kick back in one of the luxury double bedrooms. With the flick of a switch the lounge becomes a private cinema.

If complete relaxation is prescribed, we can arrange daily deliveries of freshly prepared artisan kitchen suppers or our private chef to satisfy your culinary desires. Then, of course, there are home spa treatments ... the relaxation need never end.

Discover Sherborne, in northwest Dorset, a beautiful, small market town which combines history, culture and a host of events and activities. Whether you are interested in walking in rolling countryside, enjoying a wide variety of pubs and restaurants or finding out about the Abbey and the two castles, Sherborne will provide you with fantastic memories and experiences.

The ancient market town of Sherborne was constituted as a cathedral city around AD 705. When visiting Dorset, Sherborne is an ideal place to stay. The writer Sir Simon Jenkins called Sherborne “the prettiest small town in Dorset”.

Sherborne – the perfect small English market town has a total population of about 10,000, having doubled its population during the last 40 years. It lies on the northern slopes of the beautiful Yeo Valley surrounded by wooded hillsides and green pastures.  Dominated by its golden-coloured Abbey Church  the town has a number of buildings of architectural note including the 16th century Sherborne Castle and 18th century school. Within the town the narrow streets are lined with old grey stone buildings interspersed with early timber-framed, gabled-ended houses and local Ham stone structures.

This bustling little town and the surrounding area offers visitors some attractive sights, a pleasing variety of shops and a choice mix of coffee shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. On the surface, Sherborne might appear a quiet town but there is more going on than might be imagined: indeed, the town has innumerable societies and clubs pursuing many interests. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of entertainments from the local amateur dramatic productions to school jazz concerts and classical repertoires, from quiz nights, sporting events and arts lectures, to wine tastings and open gardens. There is definitely something for everyone; you can be as busy or as quiet as you want to be.
