THE PHOTOGRAGHER AND FILM CREW starting at 9am through to a 9pm finish. Very impressed with their work ethic and would recommend the team to anyone who is looking for this type of expertise. Not forgetting the models that also played a great part in lending parts of their bodies! [another fortunate reason for having four sons] Milo for his foot modelling for THE hammock [the image without the painted nails!], Thomas, Finn and Eocho running up through THE ORCHARD and lastly Eocho for his ladder climbing skills forTHE BUNK room shot … I even lent my bare feet to the hammock shot at one point [thus the painted nails comment earlier!].

EASTER
Well you know me by now …. I couldn’t let Easter go by without adding a little homemade produce to THE hamper for our Easter Guests. Chocolate bunnies ……. chocolate discs with raspberry and pistachio wrapped in clear cellophane.

Happy New Year to you all - we hope you all had a good Christmas... We spent a wonderful week in the countryside of Dorset having sleepless nights wondering if we may find THE tent in the high street of Sherborne on our return! Father Christmas brought us some really special jumpers and we spent the Twins 14th birthday walking the hills of Plush near Dorchester.

Let me introduce Nick and Julie THE CHEFS if you fancy something a little extra

With over 20 years’ experience in high end cookery, and a firm grounding in classic French techniques. He finds small individual producers who can provide us with quality seasonal ingredients. Nick had a wonderful start to his career, being trained in classical French cuisine under the first British Chef to gain a Michelin Star with the Roux brothers at Le Poulbot in London. Using those classical methods as a basis, THE food will speak for itself! Nick is able to cater for any occasion - from a paella garden party to canapes to a private dinner party wedding or barbecue - the list goes on!

If asked what his favourite meal would be.... "very simple something like a Pot Roasted Chicken and would have to be followed by Apple Pie - I just love a great pie sweet or savoury!"

 Julie with over 25 years’ experience in hospitality and private catering being a professional chef Julie she exudes an infectious, long lasting enthusiasm to food. Born and bred in the North Island of New Zealand she moved to the UK 13 years ago and has worked and fed some of NZ and English most discerning, well-heeled diners. She can cater for hordes or for the intimate, private dinner. When she is not preparing food, she is thinking about food, growing it, or figuring out how to get her hands on the best in season produce. This is not a job, this is her life … and her biggest buzz comes from sharing the passion!
Simple stylish classic food cooked perfectly – modern and seasonally driven dishes using local English market fresh produce combined with certain ingredients from further afield capturing the feel of the Mediterranean and Middle East [also makes the best cup of coffee this side of the Equator!]

If asked what her favourite meal would be … “supper of Homemade Ravioli with Chicken and Asparagus eaten in the kitchen surrounded by family”
