The Escape
Perfectly positioned on Chemin de Clambin the chalet is ideally located a short distance from the main Medran and Savoleyres lift stations as well as just being a short walk from the centre of town. A wonderful base for families or a group of friends looking to experience the very best Verbier has to offer.
Inside, the property sleeps up to nine people in three bedrooms and a mezzanine twin room. Alpine detailing, rich textures, and rustic furnishings flow throughout the chalet creating a wonderful, welcoming ambiance.
The first floor of the chalet is home to the open plan fine dining and living area. A much-loved home, sumptuous sofas surround the natural stone fireplace whilst the large rustic dining table can sit 9 people comfortably. During the day step out onto the sun drenched south facing terrace and take in the breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains. In the evening cosy up in front of the roaring fire with a glass of champagne before sitting down to sample the finest cuisine in the elegant dining area. There is also a guest toilet on this floor.
Surrounding the chalet is a wonderful garden and terrace area with outdoor hot tub.
The main sleeping area is situated on the ground floor. Authentic The master bedroom has a fixed king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and shower as well as his and her sinks. There is a further double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a wonderful triple bunk room with en-suite shower room. The fourth bedroom is situated on the mezzanine level on the top floor of the chalet; there are twin beds, with the dedicated shower room situated on the ground floor.
The ground floor is also home to the entertainment room with pool table, bar and flat screen TV. Retro leather chairs and comfy sofas make it the perfect place to relax after dinner. The chalet is wired with a Crestron entertainment system throughout.
A wine cellar, ski room with boot warmers and laundry room separate the ground floor from access to the garage.
The property is available catered and self-catered, and can be taken in conjunction with the Bella Coola to create The Bella Coola Estate. Sleeping up to 20 people in total, this is the perfect option for large groups of friends or families. The chalets are connected via the underground garage. Enquire for more details.
When sold on a catered basis the chalet normally comes with a 24-hour 4x4 driving service.
Verbier
Sitting in a sun-drenched south-western facing bowl, perched high up on a mountainside at an altitude of 1500m, Verbier has it all. Boasting a wide array of sporting and leisure activities during both the summer and winter months, the resort also has a great nightlife, and stunning scenery which can be enjoyed at whichever pace suits you. And if peace and quiet is what you’re after…you never have to venture too far to get it!
Situated in the south-western part of Switzerland in the canton of the Valais, Verbier is bordered by France to the west and Italy to the south. During the summer months the resort is home to the Verbier Festival, a classical music festival of international acclaim, the Grand Raid Cristalp mountain biking competition and the Grand Concours Hippique horse show; and in the winter, the resort plays host to the world famous Verbier Xtreme freeride contest (the last stop in the Freeride World Tour), which takes place on the Bec des Rosses, and the renowned Verbier Ride freeskiing competition.
During the winter, Verbier becomes a skiers paradise. Verbier forms part of the 'Four Valleys' ski area, the four valleys being Thyon, Veysonnaz and Nendaz which together offer over 410 kilomtres of ski runs and 93 state of the art lifts, all covered in one (hands-free) lift pass. ( if you want to show a love of all things Swiss, you can buy a Swatch Snowpass watch and load up your personal details!) The season normally runs from the second week in December until the end of April. Snow is guaranteed in Verbier due to it's high altitude and glacier skiing, and this 'mountain playground' means that there is guaranteed to be something to suit skiers and boarders of all levels. If the off-piste is more your thing, then Verbier is also recognised as one of the premiere "off-piste" resorts in the Alps and in the world, with great Heli-skiing opportunities too.
Felt like home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this most stylish and comfortable cottage in a wonderful setting. We were very well looked after.
As a baby-friendly property, we appreciated the touches such as children’s books in the baby’s room, a made-up travel cot, and so on.
The owner was very helpful and has designed an amazing cottage. We would love to come back again. Felt like home.

Relish the seclusion
We stayed at THE CEDAR HOUSE, a modern marvel of cedarwood, glass and stone that looks out to sea, a picture of peace where the only sounds are the waves, the wind and the skylarks’ song...the beauty of this place is that, even as you relish the seclusion and scenery, you can rely on the fine food, the wine and the other creature comforts at which New Zealand also excels.
