The Escape

This beautiful 18th century property benefits from the perfect blend of period features, luxury contemporary furnishings and must have mod-cons. Push open the thick wooden door and you will immediately want to explore every inch - from the glass and oak orangery filled with light, to the serene and stylish bedrooms. There is a secret bunk room upstairs, ingeniously hidden away and a luxurious bubble bath beckons in two of the bathrooms.

Outside, the views are breathtaking. The small stream with footbridge leading to a pillared grotto and the decking with outdoor sofas are all an invitation to pause, exhale and relax. For energetic little ones, there is a dedicated playroom, an orchard to run around or Croquet and Pétanque in the garden.

The village itself is exquisite - a handful of beautiful houses and a private chapel. A friendly chicken or two pecking at the ground, fluffy sheep in the fields and if lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the resident Kingfisher. This rural escape has those exceptional touches that create unforgettable memories.

The Millstream can be taken in conjunction with The Pavilion [ with THE SAUNA] and The Tent to accommodate 15 guests.

5 out of 5! What an amazing cottage. Traditionally styled but with many extras. The cinema room is a real bonus as is the tennis court. The cottage is so comfortable and the garden is perfect for relaxing. The local area is very nice, Bruton is a charming town. If you are thinking about booking this cottage, do so, you won't regret it, it is fabulous, We will be returning for sure!

I just wanted to say on behalf of all of us who stayed at THE cottage at the weekend a HUGE thank you! We all stepped off the 'busy planet' into the most gorgeous accommodation and well and truly relaxed which is what we all needed.

The setup/facilities were first class and you have paid attention to all the finer details which really shows/comes across. We dined at the chapel, enjoyed the rural surroundings and visited the local area which has so much to offer. All in all it was a perfect stay and we will definitely be back!
