"Understated Luxury"

The Homestead itself and its gardens are the absolute jewel in the crown. It is the most beautiful property. The house has been superbly finished in an understated luxe way with high end finishes. It's well equipped in every way and a treat, when self catering, to still have someone come in and make your bed for you! There are plenty of verandahs, balconies and hideaways to allow you to escape when you need to, not to mention the extensive and beautifully maintained grounds, but with a kitchen table and outdoor table enough for a big group to sit around, there is plenty of opportunity for coming together...Most especially, we loved staying in luxury without feeling the need to dress for dinner and without having to share it with the masses - in fact without having to share it at all. It was the perfect combination for our family. We will certainly return!!

We loved THE Aga

Beautiful cottage and a fantastic holiday that began with a warm welcome.
We loved the little touches like the bread, coffee, etc. on arrival. We'd recommend Stourhead Gardens, the bus tour of Bath (plus shopping), brunch at The Chapel in Bruton and a potter about in Frome.
Unfortunately, not everything is perfect: we fell in love with the Aga, which is going to be expensive!
